Course Description
ISA Academy’s Executive Protection Training Program is designed to ensure that operatives develop the basic knowledge and skills needed to effectively discharge their complex responsibilities according to the highest operational protocols. The “BTP Course” provides intensive instruction for attendees at the ISA Academy®.
Our Director of Training has more than 35 years of personal hands-on experience in executive security and has served as a commissioned officer in several elite regiments. After a career in the army, with an honorable discharge (including five tours of duty at the Royal Castle as chief of the quick response force), he has been assigned as Senior Executive in Charge at the International Security Agency. During this time, he has managed multiple protective operations in more than 30 countries around the world.
Our training facilities are administered by the ISA Academy®. The “BTP Course” was originally designed exclusively for International Security Agency trainees, but due to high popular demand, the academy was opened to the public in 1995.
As you can see from our course description, we offer one of the most comprehensive Executive Protection Training Courses available on the market. Our small class sizes ensure individual attention from instructors so that attendees can achieve outstanding training results within a reasonable time frame spent on-site.
Your training will involve practicing and studying a wide variety of tactical, protective, and security-related topics. The ISA Academy® curriculum, in addition, includes intensive training in defensive tactics, practical exercises, and the use of firearms. Several tests will be administered in all areas to monitor the progress of each attendee.
The ISA Academy’s “BTP Course” is recognized as one of the finest and most respected Executive Protection Training Courses available and is frequently attended by law enforcement, military, and UN security personnel from all over the world.
ISA Academy® also offers “Contract Training Programs” (CTP) for government, UN, larger corporate, and organizational customers. These customized training courses are uniquely designed for each customer and their specific work environment. “CTP courses” are arranged by appointment only, year-round.
No matter your reasons for attending one of our courses or your previous experience, you will receive one of the most authentic and up-to-date Executive Protection Training Programs available on the market today.
Annually Scheduled BTP Courses
All BTP Executive Protection Training Programs offered worldwide are inclusive of accommodations and all related training equipment needed to complete the course. Dates and locations of the annually scheduled BTP courses are available on page 5.
ACADEMIC RECORDS
Permanent academic records are maintained by the ISA Academy®. The contents of these records are confidential and will not be divulged except upon the written request of the attendee.

AGENDA
The attendee will be taking receipt of the training manual and additional course material upon enrolling as a student, and may start their studies immediately.
The BTP Executive Protection Training Course is divided into two distinctive sections. The first part of the training includes the theory. The second part of the BTP Course includes the hands-on practical training.
Attendees are requested to complete the theory part, which is 20 days, from their home location. Thereafter all attendees will fulfill their remaining 10 intense days with instructor led practical training on location with ISA Academy®.
Background
Both male and female applicants are welcome to join the BTP Executive Protection Training Course at the ISA Academy®. The BTP Executive Protection Training Course is open to all applicants, regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, education, or national origin. Applicants must however be of legal age, in good health and have a sufficient ability to speak, read and communicate in English.
Prior experience in the field of protection or security is recommended yet not required. Applicants should, however, be aware of the BTP Executive Protection Training Course is demanding both mentally and physically.
Individuals with conviction of a criminal offence or the use of illegal drugs will not be accepted to the academy.
Goals
The BTP Executive Protection Training Program is intended to fully qualify operatives for armed and unarmed protection assignments in such countries where it is applicable.
Attendees are evaluated from their practical and theoretical skills during the Training Program. Attendees will also have to pass a written examination at the final day of the course.
Attendees achieving B/4 level or above, will be able to work at the highest levels of security in the field of close protection.

Available BTP training dates for your region are listed on page 5 of this brochure. The dates listed, refer to the starting date of the practical section of the training. The payment plan for attendance on the BTP Executive Protection Training Program is outlined at page 4, under “TUITION”, in this brochure.
Applicants to the BTP Executive Protection Training Program should select course location on page 5 in this brochure and submit the completed registration form and enrollment fee to ISA Academy®
CERTIFICATE
Upon completion and thorough evaluation of academy training, successful attendees will graduate and receive the credentials of an ISA Protection Agent, signed and verified by the International Security Agency.
TUITION
The tuition of the BTP Executive Protection Training Course is accessible at each training location on page 5. An enrollment fee will be required upon registration to cover the training manual and theory section. The remaining amount is due for payment by the attendee at attendance.
Most of the tuition is spent back on the attendee in form of equipment, ammunition, and other operational expenses during the training.
